Stephanie Gold

Stephanie Gold has been teaching English for 23 years. She's an expert in all facets of the language, and has superb teaching skills. What makes her special, though, is her caring personality. Kind and warm, with a quick sense of humor, Stephanie’s personal traits allow her to use her experience and academic skills to full advantage to offer tutoring that’s responsive, engaging, and effective.

In her extensive career, Stephanie has been an English teacher, an AP counselor, and a coordinator for the Gifted and Talented Program. She’s trained teachers in test preparation and served as academic counselor and high school placement counselor for middle school students. She's also a widely published author.

Before establishing Gold Services in 2003, Stephanie served as the head of Student Services at the Chinese American International School in San Francisco. In that capacity, she ran the school's testing program, tutored individual students, and coordinated with teachers, counselors, and parents to ensure her students' academic success.

Putting her years of experience to work, Stephanie is now a private tutor, providing customized instruction for the SAT, GRE, and GMAT tests, and offering reading comprehension, writing, and study skills support to students in middle school, high school, and college. She also continues to write on a freelance basis for a variety of journals and magazines.

Education

Stephanie earned her Master of Arts in Educational Counseling with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential from the University of San Francisco (San Francisco, CA). Her Bachelor's degree, from Wesleyan University (Middletown, CT), is in Psychology, with a minor in English.
